She liked the animal well enough, but it was a while before she tried the 'web' part of webkinz. Once she found that, she was hooked. The ability to play with the horse as a virtual pet on-line really added to the appeal of the horse.
I was surprised that the web portion allows kids to interact. The members can only select from pre-determined messages, and I haven't seen anything yet that concerns me. But one would still want to supervise any on-line activity. There is a magazine out there that gives webkinz tips on how to get webkinz money, and what foods to get. This can add to the on-line enjoyment. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By = Durability: This review is from: Webkinz Pink Pony (Toy) My little girl's first Webkinz was the Pink Pony. It didn't look so cute in the photos but in "person" it's adorable and cuddly. Now she has 3 Webkinz and 1 LittleKinz... these little things are addicitive. Fun and educational. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: By Jim "J. Bucki" (Buffalo, NY) - See all my reviews = Durability: Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Webkinz Pink Pony (Toy) Great toy and well built. My daughter loves it. BECAREFUL: Don't wash it in the washing machine, the mane and tail will matt and turn into a clump of fibers. |
