Webkinz Border Collie

If you are interested in these for the online play, then they are probably awesome. I was just looking for a stuffed toy, and didn't realize that this item's primary purpose wasn't to be played with but to be a reminder that you have an online virtual border collie.

Even so, it seems OK. The little guy shipped in a squished plastic bag that gave him the worst hair day ever. He's a bit smaller than I expected, and his facial features aren't as cute as the picture; he has a permanently disappointed expression, really.

He's of only average durability. I think a small child would cause damage quickly and be pretty disappointed. I don't think he would survive the tug-of-wars my sister and I used to put our stuffed toys through when we were kids. But if you just happen to be a fan of the breed and want a stuffed version to sit on your PC monitor, he fits the bill.

This is one of the cutest Webkinz pets I have seen, and I have seen over a hundred of them. This one is realistic looking but has a cute face. For those who are not familiar with Webkinz, this is a great toy for kids about 4-10 years old. They can log them onto the computer and go to their website everyday and do lots of activities and gemes. It is educational in lots of ways. Even older people enjoy the games. You can even go online and contact a friend who also has Webkinz and play games against each other. Great for these cold winter days when kids are stuck inside. This is a safe website for any age. My grandaughter has already called me and asked to play against me on the Webkinz site even though we were not at the same house. I have a Webkinz, so I can play games with her whenever she calls to say she is bored.

I bought this as a gift for my 5 year old neice for Christmas and she loved it! We got online that night to check out the website, but the connection was poor so we couldn't get everything to load properly. I am going to try it again with her at my house where we have high speed connection. If you do not have a good internet connection (and want to play the games) I wouldn't recommend. However, if you have a solid connection and you have a young animal lover, this is going to be an instnat hit! My neice loved that she got to go on and name him and even got a certificate of adoption. Very cute product!
