Super Mario Plush - 7" Bowser Jr. Soft Stuffed Plush Toy Japanese Import

The genuine version of this item, made by Japanese toy company San-ei, is very well made and great quality. However, beware of cheap poorly-made counterfeits that are VERY common for this item and most other Super Mario plushes. My daughter always loves the bad guys in games, movies and books, so her liking Bowser Jr. wasn't a surprise. When she spotted him at the store yesterday, she literally froze in place, her jaw dropped, then she ran over and gave him a big hug. I was really surprised at how well-designed he is, and how close to the game model he looks. This is a very good plush but there's a tiny problem that keeps it from getting 5 stars in my eyes.

First, yes, Bowser Jr. looks just like he does in the stock picture. He has the black bracelets, little stubs for horns, mean mouth bandana, and lots of spikes on his shell. This is as good as you're going to get as far as Bowser Jr. plushes go...at least at this price (though I did get him for a lot cheaper). The colors are bold but not too bold, and it looks perfect to how he appears in the games. His eyes are sewn on, rather than having plastic ones, and he's as cuddly as a little spiked turtle can get.

I love this plush toy! He is so soft and has a removable bandanna. This could be a bit more durable...after recent incidents with the family pet. :)I wouldn't reccommend this to totally obssessed Mario fans, due to it's rather petite size! Bowser Jr. is still enough to earn a five, though!
