This reviewer has found them to be excellent tools for teaching foreign languages--children will comfortably experiment when manipulating a puppet, but not when simply talking to a friend. As children mature, they are able to use puppets in a more sophisticated manner that will help them last a good long time.
Snowy Owl is well made and true to form with her white and gray spotted fur. The texture of her leather beak and talons gives her an air of authenticity, and her large glass eyes ringed with thick white fur won't miss a rodent. A plastic stick inside Snowy Owl's body lets you rotate her head 360 degrees. With a wingspan of 22 inches, she will play a prominent role on the puppet stage. --Sandy Hirsch

Comment: My niece was getting every practical gift under the sun with baby shower upon baby shower. Thus, I decided to get what I would want if I were the kid! I thought it would be great fun for my niece and her husband to work the puppet for the kid as entertainment. That's exactly what they've done and the baby loves it. This also reminded me a bit of Hedwig in Harry Potter. No one else got anything remotely like this for her and it was a nice sensation to give a standout item.

Comment: i had bought this product as an aid to a lesson i was teaching on camoflauge. the students loved the attention to detail and how durable the product was. i reccommend it to any teacher or parent that is looking for a lifelike educational puppet without the overpricing of other stores.

Comment: We first met this owl at Borders bookstore. Every time we went there, we grabbed it and played it for my baby and he loved it, so we decided to buy one for him. I understand it contains small parts and not suitable for an infant, so we always turn the owl's head and move its wings and put on a show for him and he gets so excited and just hugs it with happy screaming. I love the fact that its head turns 360 degrees because it makes so much fun and the fur is really soft. However it's quite tiring to move its wings if you have relatively small hand like me. Also I noticed some "shedding" of the fur, but overall this is a lovely puppet and I'm sure my baby agrees.

Comment: My 8 year old son adores snowy owls after having to perform an oral report back in the first grade. This plush toy is exceptional and he sleeps with it every night. The extent of the puppet is a wooden handle in the body of the owl attached to the owl's head that rotates 360 degrees. This toy is a great success.
