It is a soft hand puppet made of fine fabrics, so I wouldn't get it for a child who will use it too vigorously. It is fairly authentic to the depictions of dragons prevalent in the culture of China. I had originally found it in a high quality toy store, but that one looked "handled." The one I bought here was fresh and new.
