This puppet was inexpensive and had very realistic fur. Also the limbs and mouth moved very well and also looked realistic. However there are a few things that leave the puppet looking a little bit unrealistic and fake. First is bad eye location. Second is that mine had a crooked nose :-P Third is the seam running down the groundhog's back. Overall, I am VERY VERY happy with this puppet and I am impressed with all of folkmanis' puppets, they are all very beautiful and charming :-)

My wife's favorite day is Groundhog's Day (don't ask me why . . . I have absolutely NO ideea.) Anyway, I was looking everywhere for a stuffed groundhog and I saw this one and jumped all over it. This has to be the most realistic groundhog puppet I have ever seen. The nice thing is that it can be used as a puppet or it has a wide enough base that it can be displayed as a stuffed animal without falling over. If you are looking for a realistic groundhog for any age, this is the one. Don't settle for cheap imitations . . . this is Punxsutawney approved and a Phil favorite. You will not be disappointed.
