Folkmanis Chihuahua Puppet

I received this as a gist from a wonderful Amazon friend since I love Chihuahuas so much and own one that looks just like this. This is made of high quality materials and very soft and cuddly. Great gift for any Chihuahua lover.

I have a chihuahua that looks very much like this puppet. My grandson has always been fascinated by my little Tia, so I purchased this for him. It looks very well made and I am looking forward to his reaction.

ETA: It is now 2 years since my review. My grandson loved the puppet and really enjoyed playing with it. Unfortunately, the 2 real pugs living at his house loved it too, in fact, loved it to death. I now have twin grandchildren who also have their own chihuahua. I think I will be getting another one of these, especially since the girl enjoys puppets.

I thought if this was Folkmanis it would be quality. It is not. The puppet arrived squashed up in the face. It's mouth looks nothing like the one pictured. I bought this for teaching and the kids thought it looked mean. The eyes were different, one bugged the other not. The nose was squashed and the roof of the mouth pushes out. The corners of the grin do not go slightly upward (to create a happy face, as in the picture) so it looks like it is scowling. This is ok when it is a furry puppet, but when the fur is short like this, it is extremely noticeable. I have over 100 puppets and I would say that this is one of the worst looking. I wonder if this product was a first run and rejected and they sold it to someone to dump it, who sold it to me because this is a really badly sewn puppet. I have put paper in it to "mold it" hoping this will puff it out, and I am going to resew the corners of the mouth. This is not worth the price. I would pay maybe 8.00 for this. That is what it is worth.
