I bring it out and pretend it's speaking words that I say. I don't put the puppet bird anywhere near their beaks because they might get frightened and try to take a nip. Using it as a "pretend" bird really helps to create a better vocabulary with my birds, especially when I say "Good bird, Gray! You're so smart" when the puppet mimicks what I say.
