Melissa & Doug Deluxe Full-Body T-Rex Puppet

Comment: I got this for my 2 year old nephew who really loves dinosaurs. His mother and I love it, however, he finds it pretty scary. I think he will eventually like it a lot, but perhaps it would be better suited for a slightly older child.

Comment: My 4 year old loved this! He quickly learned to insert his hand in the neck fold to make the puppet walk and move his jaws. The puppet is really durable and the material does not pick up lint or pet hair easily which I love. It's anatomically correct and very detailed, the teeth are a little hard but do not hurt when they chomp on a hand, I tried. The puppet will not stand on its own, so we prop it up to look cool when we're not playing with it. We also have the Melissa and Doug blue and green and red T Rex stuffed dinosaur that is not a puppet and it is also amazing for my 1.5 year old boy. They play with these together, making roaring sounds all around the house.

Comment: My kids are about two and four and neither has made an attempt to put the puppet up to their hands so I took the initiative. It has a place for your hands on the tail and head so I will set the puppet on my lap and wag its tail with my left hand and wait for my kids come up to touch the tail and raise the head with my right and give a little growl. They also like to feed it and put stuff in its mouth so I can chomp on it like chips or dry cereal. They also enjoy me doing dumb voices and chase them with it as well and eat their toys and spit them out. My hand fits pretty snug inside the head and its pretty comfortable. My two and four year old are good at tearing stuff up so time will tell how long this puppet has to survive. So far we are having fun with it and I don't see us not enjoying it and I have no problem with the quality or anything except the color is kind of awkward but other than that very nice. The color reminds me of old carpet or couches or something I saw as a kid but that is really no big deal to us. The size is bigger than I thought it would be and the picture shown doesn't do it justice for how nice it is for the price. My kids aren't dinosaur fanatics or anything but they still enjoy it none the less and we will be having a lot of fun with it.

Comment: The pictures just can't capture all the detail on this. The colors are vibrant, the eyes look real. My son sleeps with this every night. Even has a pocket for the tail so he can make the tail move when he is playing with it. Very well made. You can't go wrong with Melissa and Doug!
