Little Giraffe Chenille Travel Blanky 14"x14" - All Colors

Comment: Wow, was I P*SSSED when I opened the box for this blanket!!! I have another "travel" blanket that is about 4 of these sewed together. It is WAY overpriced for the amount of material. Over all its my fault for not getting out the ruler to measure exactly what I was getting, so yea, my bad....but considering my Bearington Blanket is a "travel" blanket I assumed it was the same size. Oh well! I am sticking to Bearington from now on. No more over priced $40 wash cloths for me!

Comment: My four-year-old has had this blanket since he was about 5 months old. He has two travel blankets and one larger one. While I agree that these are wonderfully soft and cuddly, they are not all that durable. On both of the travel size, the satin trim and satin side have shredded. The blanket (which has really only been used for the last year, and only in his bed at night) has two large rips down the satin side of the blanket. I am ordering 2 more travel ones, as these are his security blankets and we can't be without one, but feel they should last much longer than they do given the high price. Too bad I didn't know this before I bought the first ones.

Comment: My 4-month-old son immediately took to his Little Giraffe blanket - he hugged the soft chenille part and mouthed the satin trim. He loves it so much I ended up ordering 3 of them - two full size blankets to keep home and at day care, and a travel-size one for him to snuggle and take with him.

The blankets are beautiful, and this is also just a great company to support. I'd ordered some of their burp cloths a while ago and we LOVE them. I ordered a second set and the quality was not quite as good. I e-mailed the company about it, and they were SO nice - they immediately explained a bad batch had gotten through before they caught it, and offered to replace the product at no charge. A company executive followed up with a separate note, explaining how important their customers' satisfaction is, and how they are all about creating great experiences for moms and their babies through quality products. This is the sort of company I want to give my business to! Also, their products are all made in the U.S.

As for colors, the slate color is terrific in my opinion - it's sophisticated and beautiful, and brings out the color in my baby's boy's eyes. I have their burp cloths in many colors and I think the raspberry is also terrific - it's a bright, fun color, definitely not one of the usual baby pastels. If you're looking to follow the traditional gender roles but with bold, modern colors, I'd go with slate for boys and raspberry for girls.

Comment: We received this blanky as a gift for our little girl. From birth, she's loved this blanky because it's so soft --and it soft on both sides. It seems to wash well for me but we had two and the day care was very hard on one of them--the silky binding is tearing off. So I don't know if they washed it in super hot water or what.

Overall, this blanky is great!
