Cute snail puppet, you insert your arm through the shell and extend it to end with your fingers in the puppet's upper and lower lips and antennae. This puppet is the length of an older child/adult forearm, so if you have a toddler he/she will not be able to manipulate it directly. Still, a toddler will have a blast watching you do stuff with the puppet, and the puppet makes a very cute stuffed animal anyway.
For the physically challenged, it is very easy to use the fingers to make this puppet produce the cutest and funniest expressions. Just spread your fingers for the happiest enthusiastic bigh mouth, or pull them together for an adorable pout. You can insert your fingers to move the antennae too. THe mouth is wide enough that you can play some games with your toddler, like crayons and blocks. My toddler loves it when Parsley (our name for the puppet) drops things and moans. This puppet has a very expressive face once you get the hang of it. I own a lot of puppets and have a lot of friends who have seen me perform with them, but friends have said that this one is their favorite to watch!
Imagine what's inside the shell!,

My own children and various kindergarten classes had fun imagining what was inside the snail's shell. A swimming pool? Why not? A kitchen where the snail creates culinary masterpieces? Sure. A BMX bike course? Maybe. A cozy blanket with a favorite book? Anything. The shell component allows for wild and fun imagination and child participation. My children loved this puppet. It has held up for years in excellent condition. It's easy for even young children to manipulate.
